deciBelle News...following the news that Sam is having her first baby in the new year (2012). deciBelle are pleased to announce we have a very talented female singer called Jo to stand in for Sam from April 2012 to June 2012. deciBelle are a 5 piece covers band, based in Plymouth and playing throughout the Westcountry. The band play a variety of great music from the classic soul of Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and Stevie Wonder, as well as covering newer material from the likes of Duffy, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga & Kings of Leon.
deciBelle were formed just over a 2 years ago from the ashes of a local covers band. Geoff Royall & Paul Matthews added Sam Blackmore’s stunning voice to Dean Marriott’s neat guitar, with Daryl Warren's excellent drumming completing the line-up. The band began gigging around 18 months ago and they have begun building a loyal fan base with their fantastic live performances.
The band have enjoyed growing success over the past few months, appearing at corporate events, weddings, charity gigs, as well as working at pubs and clubs all over Devon & Cornwall.
Harnessing the youth and energy of the three younger band members – Sam, Daryl & Dean - deciBelle also benefit from the wealth of musical experience of Geoff and Paul, who have played in numerous Plymouth-based bands over the past 25 years.
The band have their own PA & lights, capable of handling anything from a small local pub/club to larger concert halls, and can undertake all levels of gigs, from short sets to a full evening’s entertainment, including background music.
